Planting time – when is the best time?

Conifers are planted in two periods of the year – in spring and autumn. During spring, they ought to be planted by the end of May. In Autumn, they ought to be planted best in September and October. Deciduous trees can be planted after defoliation in autumn all the way to frost. The best time for planting is either a cloudy or a rainy day. However, this does not influence the plants’ rooting.

During the planting process, it is important to ensure that the planting holes are not too deep – this will allow the roots to comfortably fit inside them. Afterwards, the seedlings ought to be covered with soil and treaded around (manual planting method).

Below you can find a schedule of appropriate planting periods.
